The village of Ferryside is situated at the mouth of the river Towy. Golden sandy beaches provide good bathing and plenty of room for young children to run and play. Fishing is excellent for salmon, sewin, bass and dabs etc. Ample parking both on the Quayside and in the villages central car park.
Ideal for long walks along many of the public footpaths that surround the village. In the square of the village is a post office, paper shop, village stores, pub and B & B and also the local cafe & restaurant.
Ferryside is a peaceful and quiet village which is why many people come to live here, both old and young alike. The locals are very friendly and helpful and always ready for a chat or two.
From the beach is a view of one of Wales' oldest castles in Llanstephan. This is one of Wales' most painted castles because of its majestic setting.
Ferryside has a regular bus service and also a railway station which makes it ideal if you don't have a car
